Black Sabbath bassist Butler discusses Villa passion on AVTV
The legendary rock star grew up a stone's throw away from Villa Park but is now based in Los Angeles.
So the trip from LA to Portland was a no-brainer for Butler once he discovered his beloved claret and blues were heading Stateside.
And the bass ace, famous for playing on Sabbath hits such as 'Iron Man' and 'Paranoid', was only too happy to conduct an interview with AVTV.
Butler was joined at the final game of Villa's US tour by Hollywood megastar Tom Hanks and fellow actor Bob Stephenson.
While the Tinsel Town duo are claret and blue converts, Butler's love for the club extends back to his childhood growing up in Aston.
In the exclusive AVTV interview, he revealed who his all-time Villa hero is, as well as discussing his excitement about the forthcoming season under Paul Lambert.
He tells us about fellow Sabbath member, frontman Ozzy Osbourne's alleged support of Villa.
Butler talks about Sabbath's Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame induction in 2006 when he famously took to the stage and shouted: "Up the Villa."
And he also assesses the prospect of Lambert's team running out to a Sabbath hit on matchdays.
