Villa's new home kit has been voted the 'most stylish' in the Barclays Premier League.

Zoo Magazine asked fashion expert Maaike Dijkstra to pass judgement on all 20 top-flight tops.

And Villa's Macron/Genting strip came out on top, with a 10 out of 10 rating and featuring the in-article quote "classic edge!"

Dijkstra told Zoo: "This is my favourite of them all!

"I love the classic claret colour and with an on-trend contrast sleeve and collar that adds a smart edge, what's not to like about it?"

Our sentiments entirely!

The magazine image features Darren Bent resplendent in the top, via the Beware of the Lions photoshoot.

Zoo editor Damien McSorley added: "In Zoo magazine's study of the Premier League's 2012-13 kits, Villa came in as clear winners.

"Zoo's expert praised the 'on-trend' sleeves and collar that gave it a 'classic edge'.

"Whether the kit can help Paul Lambert's team up the league table is a different matter. But at least Villa have won the first major plaudit of the season!"
