Tom Hanks told AVTV there's no stopping him now he's finally seen his team play, insisting: "My life won't be complete until I'm at Villa Park!" Hanks jetted into Portland to see Villa for the first time as they beat Timbers in a penalty shoot-out following their 2-2 normal time result. And the Hollywood megastar had no hesitation in granting his favourite club's in-house television channel an exclusive interview in his private box before the game began, telling staff Lucy Finney, Bob Bridgeman and Paul Brown to "Come on in you Villans!" Rest assured, that dream will come true for me one day. This is the first step towards it. "I will be at Villa Park with wings! I would love to go this coming season. I will be checking my schedule. "My life will not be complete until I'm at Villa Park! I want to be rooting on the claret and blue to a magnificent win over those suckers like Stoke City or Wolverhampton Wanderers or Queen's Park Rangers!" Hanks was in free-flowing mood as he discussed his claret and blue devotion with AVTV manager Lucy Finney. Hanks chatted about how he came to support Villa, how he's been swotting up on the club's history, his friendship with fellow actor and fan Bob Stephenson, the great Ian Taylor and his desire to take in a game in B6.
