Darren Bent, Barry Bannan and Andy Marshall wowed Villa fans in USA by turning up at the Chicago's Fans Edge Store for a meet and greet.

Over 300 supporters were thrilled to see their heroes in person as they took their places in the shop for the signing session.

The shop, which is usually fully bedecked with Chicago Bears, Chicago Fire, Chicago Cubs and Chicago Sox gear, stocked home and away Villa kits too and they went down with the supporters in attendance.

Even some Fire fans turned up to purchase the claret and blue and lime green classics before getting the top trio to sign their jerseys.

Russell Jones, Villa head of marketing, said: "We continue to work hard on increasing the club's appeal internationally and it was really fantastic to see so many fans here.

"Some fans had been waiting in-store for over four hours.

"We have been blown away by the passion and support from fans here in the USA.

"Just today we have met groups of Villa fans from Toronto, Florida, Chicago, New York, Alabama and Ohio.

"I'd particularly like to thank our supporters clubs in Philadelphia, Chicago and California who have all played a pivotal role in helping us pull supporter events together during our stay."
