He spoke of his admiration for the lions, both in terms of their training ethos during the USA Tour and their performances in games against Union and Fire. He was thrilled with the effort of his backline too as they helped Villa to yet another clean sheet, their third of pre-season. The boss also gave a positive injury update on Gabby Agbonlahor, who was stretchered off in agony midway through the second half. Delph, meanwhile, was handed a massive boost before kick-off, learning of his skipper role as the team was read out. He said that gave him a massive boost as he headed into the second game of the USA Tour. He now hopes to take that positivity into the 2012-13 season. Delph also reacted with relish when asked about the return of Brad Guzan. You can watch both interviews now on in-house television channel AVTV. Click here to access the interviews. |
