Nathan Delfouneso and Paul Lambert both spoke to AVTV after the 1-0 win over Union.

The pair reacted to the professional victory over the MLS side on the club's in-house online television channel.

Delfouneso insists this season is a vital one in his claret and blue career.

Lambert was thrilled with the effort and application of his side.

The manager was also delighted with some of the football on display, with a crisp passing performance very much in evidence.

He also talked about the habit of winning and how it can really help with the new campaign on the horizon.

Both men were joined in post-match by legend Ian Taylor, who co-commentated with Jack Woodward throughout the match.

Taylor was impressed with the midfield chemistry and all the industry of Lambert's Lions.
