New signing Brett Holman shows his delight and no wonder after scoring the goal which secured Villa's 2-1 victory over Burton.

Holman bagged the winner - a sweet right foot curling finish - to guarantee Paul Lambert a winning start to his claret and blue career.

Holman impressed in the second half as Lambert switched the side after the break, while Barry Bannan also showed flashes of inspiration in the middle of the park.

Karim El Ahmadi and Matt Lowton - two of Villa's other summer signings - showed their quality in the opening 45 minutes.

Ahmadi excelled in the central ground, dictating play with his superb range of passing.

Lowton, on the other hand, never seemed to break sweat as he bossed the backline alongside Ciaran Clark.
