Word on the Tweet: 'Dwight Club' heads up Pitt film list
![]()
The films of Brad Pitt were in focus this morning on Villa's official Twitter page. In a new fun feature on AVFCOfficial called #VillaFilmFriday, fans are asked to Villarise the movies of Hollywood legends. This week it was the turn of Pitt and there were a host of funny tweets posted by our followers.
Once again, every week supporters will have their claret and blue knowledge tested in a series of quizzes. The fans were quick off the mark with their answers this week but can you get the right reply to this one we posed.
There was much joy among the Villa Twitter family this week, with the news that Harry Moseley will be receiving a prestigious star on Broad Street. Harry, from Sheldon, raised more than £500,000 for charity by selling homemade bracelets before his death from a brain tumour in October. Broad Street Business Improvement District (BID), which manages the Walk of Stars, had previously turned down Harry for a star because rules specified they are only given to living celebrities. BID manager Mike Olley said they had decided to waive the rules in this case. And it was greeted with much delight.
Two Villa past players popped into Villa HQ this week. Chris Nicholl and Neil Rioch were chosen as the men in the know to chat about the 1973 post-season tour of Africa. We had the footage of the prestigious trip but no audio. Chris and Neil filled us in for the three part feature on AVTV.
Our current players are preparing for their own tour, this time of the USA next week, where Villa face Philadelphia Union, Chicago Fire and Portland Timbers. It should be intense heat over stateside, which will suit the likes of Australian ace Brett Holman. That said, the day he was interviewed by AVTV on the fields of Bodymoor Heath to preview the trip saw the sun [unusually!] come out, leading to a witty retort from the new signing. Let's hope Villa are hot, hot, hot as they prepare for 2012-13.
