Villa have announced match ticket prices for the coming Barclays Premier League campaign - showing conclusively that purchasing a season card is the best means of watching Lambert's Lions.

Match ticket prices are once again among the cheapest in the top-flight.

But, nevertheless, savings of up to £184 [adults] can be made in selected areas of the ground by getting hold of a season card rather than buying individual match tickets throughout the term.

Match ticket prices are very competitive for anyone who only gets to see Villa from time to time, while the price grid has been simplified.

There are three categories of games - A, B and VV - with prices for each match dependent on the category.

We've also slimmed down several concessions into one price class - including O65s, 16-20s [young adults], students in full-time education and members of the armed forces.

The categories of U16s and U8s will remain.

Cheapest prices for adults are £20 [VV], £23 [B] and £25 [A] while U16 tickets range from £10 [VV], £15 [B] and £19 [A].

There will be combo deals throughout the season too and also the return of the early bird offer.

After a successful trial of early bird prices for a number of games in the last campaign, we are pleased to confirm that the deal will be back for most fixtures in the 2012-13 season.

Early bird prices will apply eight weeks prior to the game being played -so get in early to enjoy discounted prices.

Remember, however, that season cards still offer the best possible price for your seatwhen compared to buying the same seat for 19 games.

If following Paul Lambert's men is a full-time hobby then a season card really is the most sensible option.
