Bent: I'm confident we'll have a "really, really good season"
Darren Bent believes Villa will have a "really, really good season" under the management of Paul Lambert.
Bent insists Villa are "going places" as they approach the 2012-13 with renewed optimism following the appointment of Lambert as boss.
Bent has already spoken to Lambert and has been impressed with the rhetoric that has greeted him.
He said: "The manager said he wants to bring one or two in and I'm sure the people that he brings in will give 100 per cent and fight for the Villa cause.
"We've got some good youngsters coming through and this year it's their time to shine and with one or two additions that he brings in it could be a really, really good year for us.
"I think this season some of them will really shine and I really think Villa's going places."
Bent added to the positive vibe currently enveloping the club by revealing his injury is now totally cleared up.
He added: "I'm 100 per cent now.
"I've probably been 100 per cent for a little while, but it's just about ironing out the final rusty bits of my game really - trying to sprint full pace and kicking with my left foot.
"It's all healed now and all ready to go.
"It's my first proper injury I've had in my career so, touch wood, I just want to have a solid injury free season and be right up there with the goals again."
