Paul Lambert will take his lions to Upton Park on the opening day of the season as Villa face West Ham away.

Lambert will pit his wits against Sam Allardyce on Saturday August 18 as Villa take on the newly-promoted side, who earned their spot in the Barclays Premier League with a play-off victory over Blackpool.

That's followed by a home clash with Everton on Saturday August 25 before the long journey to Newcastle on Saturday September 1.

Derbies against West Brom take place at home on Saturday September 29 and away at the Hawthorns on Saturday January 19.

November should be an exciting month as Lambert goes head to head with his former manager Martin O'Neill at the Stadium of Light on Saturday November 3 before facing Manchester United at home on Saturday November 10 and reigning champions Manchester City away on Saturday November 17.

And that's then followed by another exciting home clash with Arsenal on Saturday November 24. The month ends with a clash against newbies Reading at home on Tuesday November 27.

Lambert faces his former team Norwich at home on Saturday October 27 and away on Saturday May 4.

Over the festive period, Villa are due to play Tottenham at home on Boxing Day and Swansea away on New Year's Day.

Villa's run-in sees them face Chelsea at home on Saturday May 12 and Wigan away on Sunday May 19.
