The new manager admits he can't wait to get started after being unveiled to the media at Villa Park on Wednesday afternoon. And Lambert has vowed to "go for it right from the off" in his bid to bring the good times back to the club. "I know I have to hit the ground running," he told AVTV. "We may as well go for it right from the off and the thing that will help us is the fanbase. "If we keep the fans on side then we will be fine." In his first one-to-one interview with AVTV, Lambert discussed the expectation levels of managing a club the size of Villa. The 42-year-old revealed his personal excitement at getting started in the job after being announced as the new claret and blues chief. Lambert talked about his vision for Villa, his discussions with chairman Randy Lerner and chief executive Paul Faulkner and his thoughts on bringing fresh faces to the club.
