Bannan: I am going to miss Cuellar's big smile
Barry Bannan says he'll miss Carlos Cuellar's big smile if Sunday proves to be his final game for Villa.
Cuellar tweeted his followers after the Tottenham game, saying he'd be departing the claret and blue scene at the end of the season.
Alex McLeish is adamant a decision had yet to be made on the future of the centre-back and that all talks will take place following the final day clash with Norwich.
But if Cuellar does bring his four year spell to an end at Carrow Road, Bannan will certainly be sad, although he understands that movement from club to club is all part of football.
He said: "Carlos has been a great servant for the club and having him in and around the dressing room every single day brings a smile to your face.
"He's always happy no matter what happens and he's loud and bubbly. I think it will be a big loss to the club.
"He's been brilliant, so hopefully the fans get behind him at the weekend as well and give him a good send off.
"We've had a fair bit of Celtic and Rangers banter over the time and it's been good fun.
"He's been fantastic - he really has - and I'm sure there be a lot of clubs after him.
"Hopefully he can get the right move for him and go and have a good few years in his career.
"He's loved it here I'm sure if you ask him he would never change a thing about coming here.
"Obviously there comes a time when you've got to move elsewhere for a fresh start and this is his time.
"He'll be sad as well at the weekend, I'm sure there will be a bit of him that's down after the game but I'm sure he's enjoyed his four years here."
Supporters are planning a 'King Carlos' final day fancy dress celebration on the south-east coast.
And Bannan believes this would be a fitting tribute to the regal defender.
He added: "I've seen a bit on Twitter about the face masks and flags. You can see from going to the games that the fans love him because of the way he's performed when he's been played.
"It will be a good fitting tribute for him and I'm sure Carlos will look forward to it."
