Chefs curry favour with wonderful Indian dishes in VMF
The dedicated pupils joined forces with Indian caterers Mahirs Experience and received mentoring and special training in the art of curry-making.
It stood them in good stead as they sparkled with their mighty menu in the Trinity Road Stand-based venue.
Guests enjoyed Paneer Tikka Manchurian to start, Punjabi Lamb Curry for main and traditional Indian sweet Courvoisier Gulab Jaman with Ice Cream.
That wouldn't have been possible without the expertise of Mahirs Experience, who really cultivated the culinary education of the eager cooks.
Renowned for their expertise in all types of authentic Indian cuisine from Punjabi food to Indo - Fusion and western style food, Mahirs are proud to have established a relationship with the football club over the past 10 years as an approved caterer for many of the Asian weddings and birthday celebrations the venue hosts.
Comments made on the evening were certainly positive, with Dawn Collins expressing her delight at the food on offer.
She said: "It was our first experience of VMF and we really enjoyed the experience.
"We had no idea it was here until a friend recommended it. The food was delicious and our waitress was really sweet and did a great job - we couldn't believe she was a student.
"We plan to return, no question."
And there's plenty to come back for!
There's a food champions Italian night on May 25, a right royal feast on June 1, 2 and 3, VMF father's day on Sunday June 17 and a celebration of the summer games on July 20 and 22.
