Beye makes Championship loan move to Doncaster
Experienced right-back Beye will link up with former Villa hero Dean Saunders, who is in charge at the Keepmoat Stadium.
The 34-year-old has been signed on an emergency 93-day deal, with a 24-hour recall after the first 28 days.
Beye will be eager to kick-start his career in the Championship, after falling down the full-back pecking order.
Beye joined Villa from Newcastle United in August 2009, to bolster the club's defensive options and has started 15 games in total, coming on three times as substitute for the claret and blues in that time.
Before his spell in England, he played for a host of continental clubs.
After finding opportunities limited at Paris St-Germain, his career took off when he moved to RC Strasbourg in 1998.
His consistent displays during a five-year spell there caught the attention of French giants Olympique Marseille, who soon snapped him up.
In 2004, Beye featured alongside the likes of Mathieu Flamini, Fabien Barthez and Didier Drogba as Marseille reached the UEFA Cup final, where they were eventually beaten by Valencia.
Following his move to Tyneside in 2007, Beye became a cult hero, although he was unable to prevent the Magpies being relegated in 2008-09.
Beye won 35 caps for Senegal and represented them in the 2002 World Cup.
