Villa earned a positive point at tough away venue Craven Cottage - and AVTV were on hand for all the best post-match comment.

Villa had several chances during an end-to-end encounter and ultimately went home with a very impressive draw.

Alex McLeish, Shay Given, Fabian Delph and summariser Ken McNaught all faced the camera on the final whistle.

McLeish was happy with the point and impressed with his team's industry and endeavour, especially in a very lively first half.

He was delighted with the back five, who produced an emphatic display in keeping out Martin Jol's men.

Given was proud to make his debut for the claret and blues and thrilled with the shut-out on the opening weekend of the season.

Despite having a cracking game himself, the shot-stopper extraordinaire instead concentrated on the might of the lads in front of him - Richard Dunne, James Collins, Luke Young and Stephen Warnock.

Fabian Delph, speaking in an AVTV exclusive, chatted about the boost he had received on seeing his name on the starting sheet.

He said he hoped to make a big impression for Villa this term, after previous campaigns hampered by injury.

Legend McNaught, meanwhile, picked out Given and Delph for special praise after both men produced impressive performances during the 90 minutes at Craven Cottage.
