Goalkeeper Siegrist, who made a couple of superb saves to ensure Villa earned a point, spoke of his delight at being back in the team. He was watched by his mum Irma who travelled all the way from Switzerland on the day of the game to catch her son in action - and Siegrist spoke of his gratitude for the fantastic support. Baker also helped Villa shut out the Hammers, who had a wealth of attacking talent such as Jack Collison, Kieron Dyer and Pablo Barrera. The defender discussed what has been a whirlwind season for him so far. After making his first team debut in the victory over Wigan in January, Baker was shown a red card in his second outing against Blackburn Rovers. But he came back strongly to earn a call-up to the England U21s squad for the recent friendly against Iceland.
