Steve Sidwell has wished Wolves midfielder Adlene Guedioura a speedy and full recovery after the Algerian sustained a fractured tibia in yesterday's derby clash.

Guedioura was stretchered off late on in the game at Molineux following a challenge involving Sidwell. 

The Villa midfielder insisted there was no malice intended in the challenge and wished his Wolves counterpart well in his recuperation.

"I wish Adlene well and I hope he makes a quick and full recovery," said Sidwell.

"Obviously, I went in to play the ball with no malice whatsoever.

"My intent was purely to play the ball and I'd just like to say again that I wish him all the best in his recovery."
