Carew, Agbonlahor and Dunne boost ahead of Toffees clash
![]()
Kevin MacDonald is hoping to have Gabby Agbonlahor, John Carew and Richard Dunne available for the top-flight clash with Everton this weekend. Agbonlahor limped off against Rapid Vienna with tight calves but the speed demon trained this morning and is expected to be passed fit for the weekend match. Carew wasn't risked in the Europa League game because of an ongoing knee problem, which prevents him playing numerous matches in one week. But the powerful forward also trained with the rest of the squad today and will be given the all-clear against the Toffees. Dunne is another star name with an ongoing issue, this time his back, but the defensive colossus will be made available on Sunday after feeling no reaction in today's session. Steve Sidwell [achilles] and Andreas Weimann [ankle] both miss out. There are no fresh injury concerns for the boss as he faces his third top-flight game in charge. You will find a display of the trophies, a mini cinema showing the 1982 European Cup final and a Walk of Fame, while a number of ex-players will be signing autographs. There will also be lots of photo opportunities and interactive displays, plus a quiz for kids to test their knowledge of the club.
