The domestic season may only just have finished, but Brad Guzan is already preparing for a hectic summer of football.

The goalkeeper is jetting off back to the USA for two important World Cup qualifiers. The American side take on Costa Rica on June 3 followed by Honduras three days later.

Attention then turns to the Confederations Cup in South Africa, where they are due to face Italy, Brazil and Egypt in the group stages.

It promises to be a busy period for Guzan, but one he is relishing.

He said: "I'm heading to the US for training for a week then we play two qualifiers back there.

"Then straight after that we fly to South Africa for the Confederations Cup for the whole month of June.

"I think after that the plans is to have a week or maybe two weeks off for a bit of a break then report back for pre-season.

"So it is going to be a busy summer for me, but it'll be an enjoyable one."
