Stiliyan Petrov is hoping good things come in threes this weekend.

Petrov is looking for a maximum haul against Newcastle - to follow his Player of the Year triumph and new contract.

He told AVTV: "I expect it to be a good game.

"We are hoping Everton don't win at Fulham and we do the business against Newcastle.

"It's a must-win for us but they are desperate for the points too. It should be exciting because both teams can really go for the win.

"I hope the fans enjoy it. We'll certainly be going for it.

"I have had a fantastic few days. I was delighted to pick up the two awards - because they are voted for by the fans and my team-mates and I was really thrilled to sort out my contract with the club.

"Now I want to finish the season on a high with three points on Sunday."
