Curtis Davies has had three different central defensive partners this season - but he insists he's comfortable playing with all of them.

Davies has been the mainstay in the centre of Villa's back four, partnering Martin Laursen, Zat Knight and Carlos Cuellar at various points.

And he believes it is department where Villa are blessed with quality.

He told AVTV: "I'll play with any one of them as they are all top quality.

"As long as I'm playing, I'm happy. We've got top quality centre halves here with Carlos, Zat and Martin.

"As long as I'm playing I trust either one of them and I'm just happy to be playing in the team."

Villa take on Knight's former club Fulham this Saturday and Davies revealed his team-mate still keeps a keen eye on the Cottagers' exploits.

He is expecting a difficult trip to Craven Cottage against Roy Hogson's vastly improved outfit.

Davies added: "Fulham is not an easy place to go. It's a tight little ground and the fans get right behind them so hopefully we can do better than we did last year and take three points.

"They are still in the hunt for the European places as well so that will be a tough game.

"I don't know if many of Zat's mates are left. Since Hodgson has gone in he's had a bit of a shake-up but I know Zat still looks out for Fulham so I'm sure he's got a few mates there!"
