Villa and Doncaster played out a goalless draw in an entertaining contest at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Martin O'Neill's men had enough chances to win the tie but failed to beat Doncaster man-of-the-match Neil Sullivan.

Gabby Agbonlahor was Villa's danger man throughout the fourth round clash and had two great chances.

The first, on the half hour mark, saw the pacy striker's close-range shot brilliantly saved by the former Leeds number one.

And on 71 minutes, the England forward fired against the crossbar after a perfect through-ball from Steve Sidwell.

Sidwell, himself, sent a header wide when well-placed while for the home side, the dangerous Martin Woods cannoned two drives against the crossbar - one in each half.

The Villans and the Vikings will have to do it all over again as both sides go in search of the fifth round.

90mins - SUBSTITUTION - Mark Wilson for John Spicer

90mins - Craig Gardner fires straight at Neil Sullivan. Villa could have won it at the death.

87mins - Martin Woods almost wins it for the home side as his impressive 20-yard free-kick cannons into the crossbar.

82mins - Stiliyan Petrov fires over from 20 yards after creating the chance with his own industry. Can Villa snatch a late winner again?

76mins - SUBSTITUTIONS - Paul Heffernan for Lewis Guy and Jason Price for James Coppinger

71mins - We spoke too soon - an even better chance for the claret and blue troops as Steve Sidwell releases Gabby Agbonlahor. The striker races through before firing against the crossbar.

70mins - SUBSTITUTION - Craig Gardner for Nigel Reo-Coker

69mins - Steve Sidwell has Villa's best chance of the game so far as he heads wide Gareth Barry's cross.

67mins - James Milner heads over from Gareth Barry's corner. Villa are starting to get on top but can they make the decisive breakthrough.

65mins - News comes through that former Villa man Lee Hendrie has doubled Sheffield United's lead over Charlton at Bramall Lane. Well done Henders.

62mins - Nicky Shorey floats a fantastic ball into the box and it looks like Curtis Davies only has to get a touch to score. But Neil Sullivan produces yet more heroics to save the chance.

60mins - James Milner fires a free-kick from just outside the box straight into the arms of Neil Sullivan.

55mins - Nicky Shorey shows great skill to break down the centre but his ball through to Gabby Agbonlahor is too heavy.

53mins - Gabby Agbonlahor and Gareth Barry both look menacing in the Doncaster box but neither can get a shot away in a crowded penalty box.

46mins - The attendance is announced - 13,517. There are 2,851 away supporters here - great effort!

42mins - Comedy moment as Martin Woods tries to clear a corner with his head but - luckily for him and his team - manages to head back to his goalkeeper.

35mins - Carlos Cuellar is too heavy with his back-pass to Brad Friedel, who clears to Martin Woods. The left-sided star produces a cracking strike, which clatters into the crossbar.

30mins - Villa could and should have taken the lead - but former Leeds stopper Neil Sullivan produces a terrific save from Gabby Agbonlahor's close-range prod. Nigel Reo-Coker, who set up the chance, is revelling in his midfield role.

27mins - Nicky Shorey bursts into the box and it looks for a moment like the former Reading left-back might have a dig but his chipped ball is easily cleared.

25mins - Gareth Barry really is awesome on his left foot. He produces a pinpoint ball to James Milner at the far post. The winger's header flies only marginally wide of Neil Sullivan's left-hand post.

23mins - Stiliyan Petrov is set up by Nicky Shorey but the midfielder fires wide from 20 yards out.

20mins - James Coppinger sees a 20-yarder fly just over Brad Friedel's bar. It's pretty even at the moment.

19mins - James O'Connor goes in late on Curtis Davies. Villa's former trainee may feel he has something to prove.

14mins - It's MON appreciation time. The fans call for a wave - the gaffer delivers - and suddenly chants of 'Martin O'Neill, Martin O'Neill' reverberate around the Keepmoat Stadium. Impressive new ground by the way!

12mins - Great move from Villa. Nicky Shorey plays an incisive ball through to Gabby Agbonlahor, who slips it to Nigel Reo-Coker. The midfielder - cum right-back - fires over from just inside the six-yard box.

10mins - MON has now taken his usual place from where he can belt out instructions.

9mins - Interesting stat for you all - Kettering are the leading scorers in the history of the FA Cup. Villa are second!

8mins - Gareth Roberts slips in behind Carlos Cuellar but fires wide when well-placed. It's an early scare for Villa.

7mins - It's that time again - the 'Paul McGrath' song is sung loud and proud by the claret and blue army.

6mins - Martin O'Neill is calm so far but we bet it won't be long before he's prowling around his technical area.

5mins - The home fans are certainly up for this clash - cheering every Doncaster touch.

4mins - Gabby Agbonlahor has Villa's first chance of the half, firing high and wide from close-range. Let's hope it's the first of many chances for the pacy striker.

1mins - The Villa fans are already in good voice - Gabby Agbonlahor and Martin O'Neill the subjects of their early attention.
