Ian's Charity Jump

TaylorIan Taylor will be defying gravity on October 4 as he takes part in a freefall skydive from 10,000 feet.

The Villa legend was due to take part in the dive two weeks ago but it was postponed due to bad weather.

Now a new date has been set with the Villa legend flying through the clouds at over 120mph to raise money for the club's official charity partner, Acorns Children's Hospice.

Tayls will be strapped to a professional parachute instructor throughout the descent - it is the only way you can jump from such a high altitude without spending thousands of pounds becoming a professional freefaller.

The dive takes place at the Skydiving Centre at Hinton Airfield in Brackley between 1.30pm and 3.30pm.

Ian said: "It is going to be amazing and I'm feeling fine at the moment - but I'm sure I'll be nervous on the day.

"The main thing is that the money goes to a really worthwhile charity.

"I was so impressed with the football club when it announced its partnership with Acorns so I am delighted to be doing my little bit to help."
