Sidwell Will Star

Sidwell makes his Villa Park debut tomorrow as Villa entertain Danish side Odense BK in the Intertoto Cup - the scores are level at 2-2 after last week's first leg. And Reo-Coker expects Sidwell to make an instant impression. He said: "He'll be a great addition to the team. He's a good player. He's got a good engine on him and he gets goals. "He's a true goalscoring midfielder and I'm sure he'll get a lot of goals for us throughout the season. "We've got great attacking options all over the pitch. We've got players who can create and make things happen and we have got match winners." Looking ahead to tomorrow's game, Reo-Coker added: "This is a new stage for us and we've got a very young team. To go and do what we did last weekend was great but we know that tomorrow is going to be a very hard game for us. "The whole team knows what's at stake. We all thoroughly enjoyed the first leg. It was a taste of some of the experiences we hope are to come. If we really want to continue in Europe we have to win tomorrow. "We're not looking too far ahead - you can't in Europe. We know how important it is just to take one game at a time. "A lot of people will have thought that we should have won the first game 3-0 or 4-0. People would say 'it's just the Intertoto Cup and half the teams in Europe are Mickey Mouse teams'. But that is definitely not the case. "They are a very strong team. They have started their season, whereas we are just two or three weeks into pre-season training. But we were happy with our two away goals." |
