The Aston Villa Old Stars will face a Sutton United FC XI later this month in a match to raise funds for the Paul Birch Trust Fund.

The former Villa midfielder is currently battling against bone cancer and has recently undergone chemotherapy.

Villa's Former Players' Association are hosting a Golf Day to raise funds and the Old Stars face Sutton United at their Hollyfield Road ground on Sunday July 27 (ko 2.30pm)

Birch, 45, made over 200 Villa appearances between 1983 and 1991 and has been a regular for the Old Stars in recent years.
