Rémi Garde could be without Alan Hutton and Carlos Sanchez for our FA Cup fourth round meeting with Man City - but was more upbeat on the fitness of Gabby Agbonlahor.

Right-back Hutton looks set to miss out after failing to recover from a hamstring problem sustained in the 3-1 defeat at Sunderland four weeks ago.

Sanchez, who also missed the derby draw at West Brom, is still struggling with a hamstring problem that saw him limp off in Villa's third round replay win over Wycombe.

Long-serving striker Agbonlahor has struggled for fitness since Garde's arrival in November but trained with the group this week. He will be assessed ahead of the game.

Manchester City are missing playmaker Kevin de Bruyne (ligament damage) after he was stretchered off against Everton.

Defenders Vincent Kompany, Aleksandar Kolarov and Eliaquim Mangala are set to return to training next week.

Rémi Garde

The game against Manchester City is a big opportunity for us.

We are in a good moment.

We lack a bit of confidence in front of goal, but I'm pleased we're not conceding too many goals. That's important.

Manuel Pellegrini

It's not our intention to bring anyone in.

I trust in my squad and I am sure we will be competitive.

Winning the quadruple is not a realistic target.

We have to look at Aston Villa.

If we don't beat them it is all over.

Jores Okore

We need to go out and keep our run going.

As long as we create chances we can go out and win.

Last season's run to the final was really special.

It was amazing to go to Wembley and go that far in a tournament with some quality teams.

We had a run last year and hopefully if we can get a good result this weekend we'll see even more confidence coming back in the team.

Maybe then we can get the same kind of run and can do the same this year.

Aston Villa are in a bad situation in the Premier League but a lot of things can happen during 90 minutes of cup football.

The manager will pick his team for the game and we will try our best because it's important to qualify for the next round.

We have won three of our last four FA Cup games against fellow Premier League sides, all en route to the final last season.

We have scored in each of our last 12 home games in the FA Cup, scoring two or more on 10 occasions.

We have conceded just one goal in our last four competitive matches.

Manchester City have progressed past us in the last three meetings in the cup, including a 3-0 fifth-round win en route to winning the trophy in 2011.

The last time Manchester City lost against a team from the same division in the FA Cup was in 2013 when they were defeated 1-0 in the final by Wigan Athletic.

Man City have won only two of their last nine competitive away matches (W2 D3 L4).
