The Boss: Garde on point, penalty shouts, Bunn heroics and fighting spirit
His thoughts are below.
On the overall performance…
I think in the first half we didn't play very well but we had a good reaction in the second half.
If you look at this week, we played teams in seventh and first.
I am very pleased with the quality on the pitch this week.
I really think if my team had played this game since the start of the season, they wouldn't be bottom of the table.
On why things are improving now…
Sometimes it takes time.
When you don't have pre-season with your team and your players, it's more difficult.
If pre-season was useless we'd just have a meeting before the first game of the season and say 'let's go.' I didn't have this time.
And when I arrived - if you remember - the team had lost seven games in a row.
My face was new in the dressing room. And it doesn't take hours to put things right.
On the penalty shout on Libor Kozak…
Definitely! It was obvious without doubt for me - and probably for everyone following the football.
On the spot-kick decision against Aly Cissokho…
I think it's a penalty.
I saw on this occasion for the linesman, it was obvious for him.
I would have liked the one we should have been rewarded that he did in the same way.
But he didn't see it at all, which is unfortunate.
On the penalty save…
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Mark Bunn because if he hadn't saved the penalty, probably 2-0 down would have been too difficult.
He kept us in the game. To be 1-0 down against Leicester - very difficult to beat and score against - I think it's a good performance from my team.
On Mark Bunn's impact…
I think if you look at the previous week, Mark Bunn did well. But it's not definitive.
At this moment, I feel Mark probably gives a little bit more confidence to the team.
What he did today was good as well.
On the difficulty of playing against Leicester…
I think it was difficult to create opportunities today - real strike positions - because we know that Leicester defend very well.
They close the space everywhere. They are capable of defending very deep.
We had to switch to play on every side.
It was difficult to create opportunities. But we knew that.
They like to counter-attack with Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez and these type of players - quick players.
On the fight for survival…
There are 16 games to go. It will be very difficult.
But I didn't see today players that are not believing any more in the target.
We are still believing in that - and we showed that.
We need to win. But today was against the leader - it was very difficult.
We came back from one-down. It was very positive for me.
We showed this week that we played a quality game.
If we keep this spirit, I still think we can create something. We are on the way.
We have fighting and collective spirit - that pleased me today. If we keep this, maybe we can do it.
