MATCH DETAILS

Villa v Leicester
Barclays Premier League
Villa Park
Saturday January 16 - KO 5.30pm
Referee: Roger East

TICKET LATEST

Villa will be looking to make it a wonderful week as they face Leicester today.

The claret and blues defeated Palace on Tuesday, the first victory for the team in the Barclays Premier League since the opening day at Bournemouth.

And Rémi Garde's men will be hoping to make it two wins in two games as the high-flying Foxes arrive in B6 this afternoon.

Claudio Ranieri's side have been in red-hot form all season and it will be a tough challenge against a team boasting attacking talents like Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez.

The two men have contributed 29 of Leicester's 37 top-flight goals this season, as well as providing 10 assists for each other or their team-mates.

So Garde will be eager to keep them quiet via our defenders Joleon Lescott, Jores Okore, Micah Richards and Ciaran Clark.

And then he'll be hoping Jordan Ayew and Libor Kozak - who both excelled against the Eagles - can sparkle at the other end.

Villa also need look no further for inspiration than last season when they defeated the Foxes twice on home soil - 2-1 wins in the Premier League and the FA Cup.

This latest installment is a late kick-off, starting at 5.30pm.

Prices are £25 to £42 [adults], £25 to £42 [concessions], £17 to £35 [U18s], £12 to £35 [U8s] and £37 to £42 [adult/junior (U18) combo].

Tickets are on general sale.

It is a maximum of six seats per booking - and remember to supply one client reference per seat to build up your booking history.

TEAM NEWS

Carlos Sanchez, Gabby Agbonlahor and Jack Grealish should all be fit to face Leicester City.

Sanchez, Agbonlahor and Grealish have all returned to training at Bodymoor Heath this week in the lead-up to the Foxes encounter.

And Rémi Garde believes they will all have the necessary fitness to be available to take on Claudio Ranieri's side.

The only absentees are Alan Hutton, who is still struggling with his hamstring - and Adama Traore, who faces a longer spell out with a broken bone in his foot.

Grealish missed the Wycombe and Palace games with tonsillitis.

But the attacking ace is now fit to face the Foxes.

Sanchez was absent against Sunderland, Wycombe and Palace but is also available.

Agbonlahor has been struggling with a back problem but that has now cleared up.

Hutton will miss out with a hamstring problem picked up at the Stadium of Light.

Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri is expected to name an unchanged matchday squad.

Injured duo Jeffrey Schlupp and Matty James remain unavailable.

DUGOUT ANALYSIS

Rémi Garde

I was very happy with the players involved in the Crystal Palace game and in the preparation for the match.

Getting a very positive result against Leicester would give us a huge boost of confidence.

Claudio Ranieri is an experienced manager. This season he has got some very good results. It will be very difficult.

They have individual players who can make the difference.

The atmosphere on Tuesday night was great. It helped the players.

Claudio Ranieri

This is another tough match, perhaps tougher than Tottenham.

Villa are a good team and I remember the first game how difficult it was to beat them.

They have won their last match and they are now confident.

It's important to see our mentality.

Okay, we won against Tottenham, fantastic, because it's not easy to go there and win.

But now it's important how we change our mentality and that we are ready to fight again.

This maybe is a key match. It could be.

Maybe today we are thinking about the Tottenham match, but we must forget that, it's not important now.

We got three points, but look forward. That's the mentality now.

Okore

PLAYER ANALYSIS

Jores Okore

Hopefully we can ride on this wave that we're on now and perform really well and go out there at Villa Park and win again.

We need to go out there perform and believe in ourselves every weekend.

Against Palace it paid off and hopefully we can carry that on until the end of the season.

Christian Fuchs

We have confidence.

With every victory and every win we simply build up more and more.

We stay humble and try to keep focus on our next game. That's what we do best and it's worked out so far.

We'll stay like that and hopefully we can keep this run going.

As a fan you can always dream, but as a player you know that every game is tough in the Premier League.

We push from game to game and we're doing well so far while we think like that.

We want to keep this run going as long as possible.

MATCH STATS

We are looking to win back-to-back league games for the first time since May 2015, both of which were home games.

Jack Grealish scored his only Premier League goal to date in September's match, while Carles Gil's first Premier League goal also came in this match.

We have not lost three consecutive league games against the Foxes since August 1997.

Leicester City came from two goals down to win for only the second time in their Barclays Premier League history in the reverse fixture earlier this season.

There have been five red cards in the last seven Premier League meetings between the sides.

We have won only four of the 19 Premier League match ups with Leicester (D8 L7), but we have won three of the last four at Villa Park (W3 L1).
