On the win…
I am very happy for the team - the players.
We played a good game, the quality of our game was good for me.
We were close against West Ham - and the way we played against them on Boxing Day was similar but today we had a bit of luck.
The goal we scored was a bit lucky, I have to say that, but overall we deserved that win.
On the atmosphere…
It is a very good feeling.
The relationship between the team and the fans today was very nice - and I am sure the players really enjoyed that.
We produced a very fine football game. That's what I think.
And the supporters were behind us.
On the performance…
We attacked very well.
We used very well the sides of the pitch - the flanks - and the team was well balanced.
If you look at the game, Crystal Palace didn't create many chances. We were not so much in danger.
It means we were well organised.
On Joleon Lescott…
Joleon is a very experienced player. He spreads around him serenity and calm. He knows the game well.
For me, he is a player I can rely on tactically.
He is not as young as he used to be. I try to manage him - and some others - as best as I can.
On Libor Kozak's performance…
I was pleased with Libor.
I think he worked very hard for the team.
He could have scored - but I think he was finally offside on a good throughball.
When I arrived at the club, I thought he needed to work more physically. It was not easy for him.
I saw in the last two weeks that he was in better shape.
His training sessions were better.
I thought he could be the one today to help us to win.
I knew he had a tough time. But he never let down his attitude. He is very professional.
He showed me he could be very helpful for the team.
On the importance of the win…
We have to stay very humble. It's only three points.
We are still far away from what we all want.
But let's say this victory could give us a little bit more confidence.
But it's not just the win. I want to insist that the way we played tonight, I didn't see a bottom of the table side.
To be fair, the difference between Villa and Palace didn't reflect the table.
On putting Brad Guzan to the bench…
We were in a bad run for a long time now - and we have conceded goals.
I thought after the game against Wycombe, I saw Mark Bunn playing and I had the feeling he could give a little bit of confidence for that game.
Then I chose to play Mark again and not play Brad.
But this is not a definitive situation. Today it worked.
