Ashley Young runs out for Villa at White Hart Lane this evening knowing he can count on the support of at least one Tottenham Hotspur fan.
That's because the wing wonder's father is a lifelong Spurs supporter.
But Young reckons there'll be no question of split loyalties from his dad - insisting he'll be backing his son to shine on the night.
With other members of his family supporting north Londoners Arsenal, matches against Tottenham are always interesting affairs for the Young clan - though the Villa ace admits it doesn't affect his attitude towards the game.
"He is a Tottenham supporter and he has been all of his life," said Young.
"But his son is playing so he is always going to back me.
"It does add a little bit of spice to it sometimes but I'm just concentrating on doing the things that I do for Aston Villa."
A host of English players will be on show for both sides in tonight's game - although Young insists the game won't be treated as a World Cup audition.
First and foremost, he says there is far too much at stake at club level.
"I think that has been put to the back of our minds," he added.
"Obviously that is a massive thing coming up at the end of the season but we've got to concentrate on things happening at club level at the moment.
"Obviously there are a lot of English talent on show. We know it is going to be a tough test - every game is.
"We are looking forward to the game, we are full of confidence and we know it is going to be a good game."
