Redd Pepper
7th Jun 2011
Pepper, a lifelong claret and blue fanatic, fulfilled his dream of announcing the team line-ups before kick-off ahead of the derby encounter. Pepper is renowned for his work providing theatrical trailers for movies such as Amistad, The Blair Witch Project, Men In Black, Independence Day, Boogie Nights and Armageddon. Since the death of leading light in voice work Don LaFontaine, Pepper has become the main man when it comes to booming brilliance. His first job was at McDonalds restaurant after which he spent six months as a fireman and then became a train driver on the London Underground. It was in 1996 that a television executive passenger, hearing his amazing voice on the loudspeaker on one of his trains, offered him his card - and the rest is history. He has earned the nickname 'Mr Movie Trailer Man' from the sheer number of Hollywood blockbusters his voice has trailed. Keywords
