1] The promoter of this prize draw (the "Prize Draw") is Aston Villa Football Club Limited whose registered office is at Villa Park, Birmingham B6 6HE (the "Promoter").
2] Entry to the Prize Draw is only open to persons who are (a) 18 years of age or over (b) residents of countries where participation in the Prize Draw is legal and not prohibited (c) not employees (or family members of employees) of the Promoter (d) not residents of any country listed on the Foreign & Commonwealth Office's list of "Don't Go To…." countries (regardless of the heading under which such country appears) ("Eligible Persons").
3] Participation in the Prize Draw is void wherever prohibited by law.The Promoter makes no implied or express representations or warranties as to your legal right to participate in the Prize Draw.
4] To enter this prize draw Eligible Persons must go to http://www.facebook.com/avfcofficial (the "Facebook Page"), 'like' the Facebook Page and complete and submit the required details in full on the online form.
5] Only one entry per Eligible Person.
6] The Prize Draw entry period is from 14.00 (GMT) on Friday, 25 January 2013 to 23.59 (GMT) on the day which is 7 days after the day on which the Facebook Page first receives 1,000,000 (one million) 'likes' (the "Prize Draw Entry Period"). Only fully completed entries received by the Promoter from Eligible Persons within the Prize Draw Period will be entered into the Prize Draw.
Prizes and Selection of Winners
7] The first prize in the Prize Draw is a trip for 2 people to see the Aston Villa v. Liverpool match scheduled for Sunday, 31 March 2013.The prize comprises (for 2 people) home to airport transfer, economy class return flights to and from the UK, airport to hotel transfer, 2 nights' accommodation (in a double or twin room) in a 4 star hotel in Birmingham city centre, home stand tickets to see the match currently scheduled for 31 March 2013, tour of Villa Park, hotel to airport transfer for return flight home and £100 (sterling) spending money for each of winner and guest ("First Prize"). The winner of the First Prize and their guest must both travel to and from the same address.
8] Where the winner of the First Prize and their guest live outside of the UK, they must hold valid passports and will also be responsible for obtaining (and paying for) travel insurance and visas.The Promoter will have no obligation or liability to organise or pay for any travel insurance or visa or any other necessary permit, authority or other documentation necessary for the enjoyment of the First Prize.
9] Where the winner of the First Prize's proposed guest is under 18, the Promoter reserves the right to check that the guest has parental authority to travel. If the Promoter is not satisfied that parental authority has been given, the winner of the First Prize shall be required to choose an alternative guest or forfeit the First Prize.
10] There are five runners up prizes of an Aston Villa Away shirt ("Runners Up Prizes").
11] The winners will be drawn at random within 3 days of the end of the Prize Draw Entry Period. The winner of the First Prize will be contacted by telephone within 4 days of the end of the Prize Draw Period. The winners of the Runners Up Prizes will be notified by email within 30 days of the end of the Prize Draw Period.
12] The First Prize is awarded conditional upon the winner (a) being an Eligible Person and (b) accepting the First Prize within 2 days of the Promoter making personal contact with the winner and (c) satisfying the Promoter by no later than 8th March 2013 (or such later date as the Promoter shall agree) that they, and their guest, have the necessary documentation to be able to accept the First Prize (e.g. visa, passport, travel insurance and parental authority).If the winner of the First Prize is not able to meet these conditions the Promoter may (at its sole option) either (a) treat the First Prize as having been forfeited by the winner and draw a new First Prize winner from the eligible entries received during the Prize Draw Period or (b) rearrange the First Prize for an alternative fixture to enable the winner of the First Prize to arrange the necessary documentation to be able to accept the First Prize.
13] The Promoter may request such information as it considers to be reasonably necessary for verifying the eligibility of a winner and a prize may be withheld unless and until the Promoter is satisfied that an entry is valid, a winner is an Eligible Person or that a winner is capable of accepting the prize.
14] The Runners Up Prizes will be posted to the runners up by recorded delivery or courier.The Promoter accepts no responsibility and no liability will be accepted by the Promoter if any of the Runners Up Prizes are lost or damaged whilst in transit.
15] Prizes are non-transferrable and non-negotiable.No cash alternatives will be offered.The Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize of similar value should the specified prize become unavailable for reasons beyond its control.
16] The Promoter's decision is final and binding.No correspondence will be entered into.
17] By entering this Prize Draw you give the Promoter your permission to publish your name and the name of the town and country where you live in all and any Promoter-controlled media (including in matchday programmes and on the Promoter's website (www.avfc.co.uk)).
18] The winner of the First Prize (and guest) will be required to participate in publicity including being filmed and having such footage appear on the Promoter's website (www.avfc.co.uk).
19] The names of the winners can be obtained by written request (including a stamped addressed envelope) to The Marketing Department, Aston Villa Football Club, Villa Park, Birmingham B6 6HE.
21] Entry to the Prize Draw is free.
22] The "How to Enter" section above forms part of these terms and conditions.It is a condition of entering the Prize Draw that these terms and conditions are accepted as final and that you agree to abide by these terms and conditions.To the extent that there is any conflict between the "How to Enter" section and the "Terms and Conditions" section the "Terms and Conditions" will prevail.
23] Headings in these terms and conditions are for convenience only and do not affect their construction.
24] The Prize Draw and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it or its subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) will be governed by English law and will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
25] The Promoter reserves the right to suspend, cancel or amend the Prize Draw and/or amend these terms and conditions at any time without giving prior notice.
26] Entrants should note that the date of the Aston Villa v. Liverpool fixture is subject to change for a number of reasons (including, but not limited to, weather or by instruction of the Premier League).In such circumstances, the Promoter and the First Prize winner will co-operate in good faith and attempt to rearrange the First Prize on the new date of the fixture or for an alternative fixture.If the winner of the First Prize is unable to attend the rearranged fixture date or the Promoter's proposed alternative fixture date(s) the Promoter reserves the right to treat the First Prize as forfeited.
