2011-2012 FUNDRAISING APPLICATIONS
2011-2012 FUNDRAISING APPLICATIONS
Aston Villa Football Club is fully committed to its Community work and we appreciate that many individuals, charities, organisations, schools and various community groups are helping to raise funds and awareness for causes close to their hearts. In the 2011-2012 season we will support a limited amount of applications from registered charities based in the central Birmingham area only. Please read the information below before completing the application form. An official letter from the charity must be included (photocopies will not be accepted). Details must be identical to the charitable event taking place. 28 days must be allowed when applying for a charitable donation. The application must be made by using the official form. We are only able to accept original copies by post, copies by fax or email will be rejected. Please note we do not accept applications by phone. Applications from local schools must be received directly from the school address on original headed paper. We are unable to accept correspondence from home addresses on behalf of the school, thus avoiding duplication. Any other community groups or sport clubs may apply on official headed paper from the business address. In order for us to support as many local charities, schools and community groups as possible, we can only consider an application once within a three year period. All applications will be monitored to ensure donations are fairly distributed. We are unable to accept applications from the following:
Applications for national charity events such as Comic Relief and Children in Need - we will make one donation directly. In the event of any natural disasters that warrant international help such as the Japan Earthquake, we will support the appeal directly. If we are unable to grant your application, please accept this as our final decision. In order to monitor applications and reduce the risk of fraud, we may liaise with other football clubs to check the authenticity of some applications. This is supported by the Premier League and is to protect those genuine charities that may suffer loss as a result of fraud. Useful contacts
