Roddy MacDonald

Roddy MacDonald was appointed head of sport and exercise medicine in July 2012.

It was a return to Villa after being club doctor for three years under Martin O'Neill.

He had previously been in charge of the medical team from 2007 to 2010.

He left Villa to join Celtic but has now returned to B6 under Paul Lambert.

He started working full-time in sports medicine when he was appointed head of the medical team at Newcastle United in 1998, while Kenny Dalglish was manager.

Roddy moved to Celtic in 1999 to take over the medical team at Parkhead and stayed at the Scottish giants for seven years - five alongside O'Neill.

He returned to St James Park in 2006 but moved to Villa the following season before another spell at Parkhead and now a subsequent return to Villa.
