Ian Paul has been the club's kit manager for the past seven years, having taken over from his father Jim at the start of the 2003-04 season.

He and his brother Colin previously assisted Jim, who had done the job for 27 years.

As a youngster, Ian was a midfielder with Walsall, joining the Saddlers at the age of 16.

He helped Walsall to promotion to the old Third Division in 1979-80 before his career was curtailed by a serious illness at the age of 21.
