Alex Butler began training as a masseur in 2000 at North Birmingham College and, following two separate year-long courses, he began helping out at Walsall.

In July 2003, Andy started working for Wolverhampton Wanderers where he stayed for three years.

He then moved on to West Brom, Macclesfield Town and MK Dons before starting at Villa as head masseur in October 2007.

He was part of 2012's 'Pedal for Petrov' campaign, joining fellow masseur Andy Smith in a brilliant bike ride from Celtic Park to Villa Park in aid of Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.
