14th Jun 2010
He moved into the industry after following a career in football. Having left school at 16-years-old, he started a two-year football apprenticeship with Barnsley. He left the club in 2000 before signing subsequent contracts with Grimsby Town and Lincoln City. During further spells at Worksop Town and Stocksbridge Park, he worked in a physiotherapy private clinic where his interest in sports massage started. After another spell in football with US side Wilmington Hammerheads, he started a new career at Villa. He was part of 2012's 'Pedal for Petrov' campaign, joining fellow masseur Alex Butler in a brilliant bike ride from Celtic Park to Villa Park in aid of Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.
