Bryan Jones

Bryan Jones has been in charge of Villa's highly successful Academy since 1997 - although the Academy Director's association with the club goes back much further.

He became youth development officer in 1980, before a move to work at Birmingham City.

He returned to Villa Park in 1987 under Graham Taylor before leaving the club for a second time during the Ron Atkinson era.

But he returned for his third stint under Brian Little.

Since then, a host of players from Villa's Academy, such as Gary Cahill, Steven Davis, Craig Gardner, Gabby Agbonlahor and Nathan Delfouneso have progressed through the Academy ranks into the first team.
